LST Surf Competition 2012

Nusa Lembongan, Bali, Indonesia. The longest running local surfing event held in Indonesia, “The Lembongan Surf Contest” presented by Billabong, marks the 11th year for this event.

On August the 19th & 20th - 65 competitors in 4 divisions; Masters, Opens, Grommets & Airshow; will see intense surfing from all LST members striving for the title of Champion.

An event comprising of some of the ISC (Indonesia Surfing Championship) tours top guns battling it out upon their own local reefs, we will see the likes of;

Agus Frimanto aka Ronis (Billabong)
Putra Herwaman aka Pulu (Rip Curl)
Putu Anggara aka Wala (Rip Curl)
Wayan Susiana aka Robot (Oakley)

Challenging their LST team members, such as Kudul, Planet, Werdi, Agus P & Balon; to push the limits & to know no boundaries.

This 2 day event begins at the legendary “Shipwrecks” reef, a wave that allows for high performance surfing and then onto the famous “Lacerations” when the swell begins to peak, setting the stage for deep barrels over a shallow razor sharp reef.

With solid swells pumping thru Bali lately, contest director Wayan Lena, has elected to run this years event in solid 5-7ft conditions – allowing the teams youngest competitors to put on a fierce display of their talents; prior to the next back to back 10ft swells expected to thunder down the reefs in the days to follow.

LST has proven over the years to being a breeding ground of champions & this year holds no exceptions, with young guns like Komo Wilson (Quicksilver) & Ediana Buncis (previously with Rusty), whom dominated last years Billabong Pro Junior event, held in Lembongan., determined to scoring 10 point rides, no matter what !!
